Love And Friendship
Love and Friendship Love is like the wild rose-briar, Friendship like the holly-tree— The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms But which will bloom most constantly?
The wild-rose briar is sweet in the spring, Its summer blossoms scent the air; Yet wait till winter comes again And who will call the wild-briar fair?
Then scorn the silly rose-wreath now And deck thee with the holly's sheen, That, when December blights thy brow, He may still leave thy garland green.

Hi friends, This was sent to me by one of my friends , i have liked the wordings of the poem .. hope you all will also like it. regards Chahat ki mehfil mein dil laga kar hum bhi dekhege, Teri rooh ko apna banakar hum bhi dekhege,
Pyar woh jazba hai jo pathar ko pigla de, To hum bhi is pathar se dil laagkar dekhege,
Zaroori nahi ki tum badle mein hame pyar karo, Khudi-Khud ko tum par mitakar hum bhi dekhege

I loved her for that she was
I loved her for that she was beautiful; And that to me she seem'd to be all Nature, And all varieties of things in one: Would set at night in clouds of tears, and rise All light and laughter in the morning; fear No petty customs nor appearances; But think what others only dream'd about; And say what others did but think; and do What others dared not do: so pure withal In soul; in heart and act such conscious yet Such perfect innocence, she made round her A halo of delight. 'Twas these which won me;— And that she never school'd within her breast One thought or feeling, but gave holiday To all; and that she made all even mine In the communion of love: and we Grew like each other, for we loved each other; She, mild and generous as the air in spring; And I, like earth all budding out with love.

WONDRFUL MOMENTS
Wonderful Moments The wondrous moment of our meeting . . . I well remember you appear Before me like a vision fleeting, A beauty's angel pure and clear. In hopeless ennui surrounding The worldly bustle, to my ear For long your tender voice kept sounding, For long in dreams came features dear. Time passed. Unruly storms confounded Old dreams, and I from year to year Forgot how tender you had sounded, Your heavenly features once so dear. My backwoods days dragged slow and quiet— Dull fence around, dark vault above— Devoid of God and uninspired, Devoid of tears, of fire, of love. Sleep from my soul began retreating, And here you once again appear Before me like a vision fleeting, A beauty's angel pure and clear. In ecstasy the heart is beating, Old joys for it anew revive; Inspired and God-filled, it is greeting The fire, the tears , and love alive But alas, it is all dreams I woke up and not find u near me

A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM
A Dream within a Dream Take this kiss upon thy brow! And, in parting from you now, Thus much let me avow— You are not wrong, to dream That my days have been a dream; Yet if hope has flown away In a night, or in a day, In a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand— How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers to the deep, While I weep—while I weep! O God! can I not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God! can I not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream?

The Rising Sun
The Sun Rising Busy old fool, unruly Sun, Why dost thou thus, Through windows, and through curtains, call on us? Must to thy motions lovers' seasons run? Saucy pedantic wretch, go chide Late school-boys and sour prentices, Go tell court-huntsmen that the king will ride, Call country ants to harvest offices; Love, all alike, no season knows nor clime, Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time. Thy beams so reverend, and strong Why shouldst thou think? I could eclipse and cloud them with a wink, But that I would not lose her sight so long. If her eyes have not blinded thine, Look, and to-morrow late tell me, Whether both th' Indias of spice and mine Be where thou left'st them, or lie here with me. Ask for those kings whom thou saw'st yesterday, And thou shalt hear, "All here in one bed lay." She's all states, and all princes I; Nothing else is; Princes do but play us ; compared to this, All honour's mimic, all wealth alchemy. Thou, Sun, art half as happy as we, In that the world's contracted thus; Thine age asks ease, and since thy duties be To warm the world, that's done in warming us. Shine here to us, and your art everywhere; This bed in center is, these walls is my sphere

If I Return
If I return this time I must return greater Not with pointed moustaches twisted silly on the face not with tails of steel tied to the waist I will give away to others And not give tigerish or demonish looks to them
If I return I must return more human
Stepping out of home walking on roads boarding buses catching trains if I survive the fate of a run over puppy
I must return more thankful this time not just licking my wounds but caring for all completely human…
If I return at all…
